| The Churnet Valley Railway played host to an exhibition to celebrate 40 years of Doctor Who. | |

The exhibition was set up in the new waiting room and The Doctor ( a sort of Tom Baker look alike) introduced himself just as the TARDIS doors burst open and a Dalek appeared from within. There is a noisy bit of banter and then the Doctor dispatched the Dalek back into the TARDIS. All this was accompanied by the theme music, flashing lights, smoke in a room full of posters and Who information. Dalek = Derek

But for Ric and me the most memorable part was going
out onto the platform and "seeing" the steam trains off...
