New Series Gold Dalek

The Churnet Valley Railway once again staged a Dalek Event this time on the August Bank Holiday. The theme was a dark sewer tunnel system where humans were taken to be scanned for intelligence, does that sound familiar? The set was built inside the booking hall at Kingsley and Froghall Station.

Derek at the entrance to the Sewer Tunnel Set. Inside can be heard dripping water and the sound of a Tardis materialising.
Amongst the ivy and cobwebs can be found a long scarfed exterminated skeleton and to the right of the Doctor's Tardis another
tunnel leading to the intelligence scanning area. After scanning the humans are taken out of the exit tunnel to be processed...

Derek visits Ami on her last day in the Tea Room (sob) before getting stuck in the doorway - don't ask! Derek waits for more human slaves on platform 1 as a steam train approaches. MPD Staff Martin and Brian look on - and I thought Derek's paint work was getting tatty....

Thanks to my friends Ric and Tony plus all the staff at the CVR for all their hard work over the five days it took to set up, perform and then dismantle everything.
I could not have done it without them.

Thanks also to Mgt for going to Egypt and not interfering with what turned out to be the best CVR event of the year ! (joke honest)
