Direct from the planet Skaro, a friendly Dalek has descended onto the town of Belper especially to open the Long Row School Summer Fair. To ensure all staff are not exterminated, The Doctor has instructed his new assistant Mrs Cadman, to ask all budding Time Lords and Ladies to come along and keep him under their watchful eye. In return they will be rewarded with a fun packed evening of events and activities for all the family. |
There will be rides, slides and a bouncy castle as well a whole galaxy of Dr Who based activities such as 'Cyber Skittles', a 'Monster Shy', The Grand 'Master' Golf Challenge, 'Hunt the Doctor', 'Tomb(aker)ola', mask making, face painting, an alien workshop, and wacky test tube experiments. Try and win a 'Tardis' cake and a special quiz devised to test your knowledge of the 'Time Lord'. (This can be found on the back of this letter). Also there is a Dr Who treasure trail and a fancy dress competition where the Dalek will decide who he fears the most - the time travellers or the aliens. So get your costumes ready! |

Right: Local band The Re-entrants probably the finest ukulele pop/rock duo in ON EARTH! They played a wicked Doctor Who theme on their ukuleles and then had a laugh with Derek about their small instruments. My thanks to Janine for inviting us to the school and pledging to make a donation to a children's charity. Thanks to San for putting up with all the excited touchy feely screaming kids for two hours and for taking the photographs. |
